EBay / PayPal - A Law of their own
I have been using EBay and PayPal for many years and have a excellent feedback rating. Always paid EBay its their fees before the invoice was produced but it appears this all means nothing to them.
one morning I was checking my emails and discovered that PayPal had limited my account including EBay and was requesting copies of invoices from my suppliers, proof of postage for all transactions.
I checked both on EBay and PayPal under the resolutions centre to see if any of my buyers had complained and nothing was reported.
A Little Investigation
I contacted PayPal and they said its normal for all accounts to be reviewed from time to time and that they wanted further information from me before they could remove my account limitation.
They wanted bank statements, supplier invoices, proof of delivery for recent transactions. Surely this can't be right?
I was told unless I provided this information my accounts would be closed and would not be allowed to use EBay or PayPal ever again.
I said to PayPal, I have excellent feedback am not subject of a buyer complaint and all my feedback was positive. I was informed that this was not the issue, I provided the suppliers invoices and then they said that was not acceptable.
I have over £100.00 in my PayPal account and said I wanted theses funds withdrawing to my bank account. I was then informed as my account is limited that I would have to wait 180 days before I can have access to my money.
I still don't have access to my money and PayPal seem to be going around in circles and not resolving my complaint as to why my account had been limited without good reason.
I've now got to the point that I no longer care anymore, I will simply not use this company ever again.
So my recommendation is do not deal with EBay or PayPal as there will become a time if you get dependant on them that one day your account will also become limited and be asked to meet silly demands.
It would appear EBay and PayPal have no regard to the law and actually think that any regulations do not apply to them.
If anyone else has experienced similar issues with EBay and PayPal please leave some comments so we can all be better informed.
